Production 6 - New Magazine Cover

 

Over the past weekend, my partner has been working on a new magazine cover to make our magazine look more simplistic. The icon in the upper right corner is cuneiform script for the Babylonian deity of wisdom, Nabu. We agreed to use this icon as many college educated individuals (our target audience) are familiar with certain cultural features of Babylon such as the hanging gardens and the tower of Babel, few are familiar with the Babylonian pantheon. Through the use of this icon, we achieve some level of obscurity while leaving some extent of familiarity with the subject for the college educated.
